Just Mortgages has launched a special negative credit advice team.
The new adverse credit solutions team consists of ten dedicated advisors providing specialist support and tailored advice.
The team will work with the customer service department and support both new and existing borrowers experiencing credit problems, impaired credit and borrowers experiencing significant financial difficulties.
The team has undergone enhanced training with a focus on empathy, wellbeing and client vulnerability, ensuring advisers approach each case with insight, care and an understanding of the individual’s characteristics and wider circumstances.
Gareth Lowndes, Just Mortgages customer service sales director, said: “Just Mortgages has a long history of supporting customers with complex and problematic credit, using our broad knowledge and strong relationships with both mainstream and specialist lenders to find the right solutions.”
“However, we have seen recently that the number of these inquiries has only increased – in line with what we are seeing in the wider market.”
“By investing in a dedicated team of our advisors, we can respond to this increasing demand and increase access to advice in this crucial part of the market. At the same time, we can ensure that clients in these situations receive the time and tailored support to achieve the best possible outcome.”
“While this approach clearly supports our commitment to consumer rights, the primary motivation is to provide borrowers with greater access, clearer options and better understanding – facilitating a route back into the mainstream where possible.”
According to a survey by Pepper Money, 9.26 million British adults have experienced adverse credit conditions in the past three years.
The research also found that 16.6 million people have experienced negative credit conditions at some point in their lives.
