Together has appointed James Steadman as corporate sales director for the Midlands.
Steadman joins Together, which is headquartered in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, from Lloyds, where he was associate director for real estate with a role focused on arranging larger commercial property loans for clients in the Midlands banking group.
He started his career as a mortgage adviser at the former Bradford & Bingley and remained with the building society when it was restructured during the 2008 financial crisis and later acquired by Santander.
After more than a decade at Santander, he joined Virgin Money and became relationship director in the Midlands for the Yorkshire Building Society for over four years, refocusing on commercial property finance and dealing with larger property transactions.
In his new role, Steadman will be responsible for growing the lender’s brand and promoting its specialist products to customers and professional introducers in the region.
He will work alongside another regional sales director in the Midlands, focusing on bridging loans, commercial mortgages and buy-to-let (BTL) portfolio loans up to £20m.
At Together he reports to Mark Eastwood, the group’s director of corporate sales.
Commenting on the appointment, Eastwood said: “James’ long-standing background in banking and commercial property finance will be a huge asset to Together as we continue to grow our business team across the UK regions.”
“There is a huge demand in the Midlands for reliable lenders who can build strong relationships with introducers and customers. James has a proven track record of providing the financing entrepreneurs need to realize their property ambitions.”
