Halifax, Lloyds, Gen H, Coventry and Kensington cut rates today.
Halifax and Lloyds have cut remortgage rates by up to 14 basis points, while prices for first-time buyers and home movers have been cut by up to 12 basis points.
Kensington has made significant cuts of up to 35 basis points on key buy-to-let rates, while residential transactions have been reduced by up to 15 basis points.
Gen H will cut five-year rates between 60% and 80% of the loan-to-value ratio by up to 20 basis points today at 5:30 PM, while two-year rates at the same LTV will fall by 15 basis points.
Coventry has also reduced rates on many residential purchase and remortgage deals, as well as some buy-to-let products.
Today’s cuts come after more than a dozen lenders cut prices last week and average fixed interest rates fell, according to Moneyfacts.
Rachel Geddes, strategic lender director at the Mortgage Advice Bureau, said: “Halifax’s latest rate cuts are yet another welcome sign that lenders remain committed to supporting borrowers despite ongoing economic uncertainty.
“While the changes may seem modest, even small reductions can make a meaningful difference in affordability, especially for first-time buyers and home movers facing higher property and living costs.”
