Buy-to-let lender Landbay has launched a telephone sales team to support agents through the application process.
The team, led by telephone sales manager Jon Braddick, will focus on communications, pipeline management and broker engagement, supporting matters from decision in principle through to mortgage offer.
Landbay says the team will work with its Business Development Managers (BDMs) to help progress applications and identify potential issues early, while also working with brokers who have not recently done business with the lender to better understand their needs.
Braddick worked at Landbay for more than six years, where he started as an account manager in 2020 before becoming business development manager in 2022.
Before joining the lender, he held sales, account management and business development roles at Royal London and Aviva.
The team also includes Joe Newton, Varshan Subaskaran, Salma Betioui, Stephen Abolade and Ross Laurie, who have joined as telephone sales support.
Landbay says the team brings experience from the real estate and mortgage sectors, including mortgage broking, telephone business development, underwriting and landlord support.
Landbay sales and distribution director Rob Stanton says: “As business volumes have grown, it has become increasingly important that we continue to invest in the people, processes and support structures that help brokers place business with confidence.
“Our new telephone sales team has therefore been created to complement the work of our field and internal sales teams, providing agents with additional support throughout the application process.
“Jon brings strong specialist mortgage experience and understands Landbay as a lender and what brokers need from us.”
