Landbay has Richard McRoberts as business development manager (BDM) for Kent and the south coast.
McRoberts brings more than 12 years of experience in the real estate and financial industries to this position. He spent nine years working in sales and lettings in central London and the South East before moving into finance in 2022.
For the past four years he has worked as a specialist buy-to-let broker at Mortgage Finance Brokers, dealing with cases covering a range of matters including company law structures, HMOs and MUFBs.
In his new role, McRoberts will report to Land Bay sales and distribution director Rob Stanton.
McRoberts will provide full sales support to estate agents and consultancies across the region, working with them to provide financial solutions across the lender’s product range and for a range of borrowers and property types.
Commenting on the appointment, Stanton said: “Richard brings a strong combination of property market knowledge and practical buy-to-let experience, having worked both in estate agents and letting agents and, more recently, as a specialist agent.”
“That background means he understands the pressures agents face when listing business, especially where landlords have more complex loan structures or property types. His appointment gives agents in Kent and the south coast a dedicated BDM who can discuss issues well and help them find practical solutions.”
McRoberts added: “Landbay has built a fantastic reputation in the buy-to-let space, and I am very excited to be joining such a forward-thinking and high-performing team.”
