Santander is the latest lender to announce rate hikes, which come into effect on July 22.
The lender has said it will increase fixed interest rate prices for its new business offering.
It also says there will be a range expansion with new 10-year solutions for first-time buyers and home movers across multiple loan-to-value (LTV) ranges, including new builds.
In addition, Santander will launch new two- and five-year solutions at a cost of £1,499 for new build customers.
Most fixed rates for home transfers and buy-to-let (BTL) will increase, but there will be no changes to tracker rates in the lender’s new business and product transfer ranges.
Elsewhere, Accord Mortgages will increase prices on residential and BTL new business products, but will also make selected reductions to residential rates.
Within the lender’s housing offering, fixed interest rates up to 85% LTV will increase by as much as 0.26% and fixed interest rates with an LTV of 90% will increase by as much as 0.22% or be reduced by up to 0.11%.
Accord will also increase tracker rates by up to 0.03% or decrease by as much as 0.16%.
BTL’s two- and three-year fixes on all LTVs will increase by up to 0.07%, while its five-year fixes on all LTVs will increase by as much as 0.09%.
In addition, tracker rates on all LTVs will increase by up to 0.07%.
Meanwhile, for intermediaries, Newcastle has relaunched its joint range for sole traders.
The lender says the relaunch is intended to “better reflect the changing needs of today’s homebuyers.”
